Why can't I book an emergency online?
Online slots start from two days ahead, which is no good in an emergency. Calling gets you straight through to the on-call engineer.
What should I do while I wait?
For a burst or major leak, turn off the water at your stopcock if you can reach it safely, and switch off the heating. The engineer will talk you through it on the phone.
